IJ - International Jury (Uruguay)

I started sailing at the Yacht Club Uruguayo when I was 12 years old. From that moment on, I became increasingly involved in the nautical world. As is customary, I began sailing in Optimist and later moved on to Laser (ILCA), Snipe, Windsurf, J-24, and other keelboats. I was the National Runner-Up in the Laser class and the National Runner-Up in the Snipe class. Internationally, I competed in three South American Championships in the Laser class (Mar del Plata, Argentina; Florianópolis, Brazil; and Punta del Este, Uruguay). In 2018, I was an assistant coach for two months for the Optimist competition fleet at the Club Náutico de Carrasco y Punta Gorda (UY).

Mi experiencia

Around 2008, I began my career as a National Judge, and since 2018, I have served as an International Judge for World Sailing.

As a World Sailing Official, I have been a member of the International Jury at prestigious international events such as the South Atlantic Circuit Rolex Cup on multiple occasions, the 2020 Hempel World Cup Series Miami, the 2023 Allianz Sailing World Championship, the 2023 Pan American Games, and various South American, North American, and regional championships. Holi As a judge, I have accumulated over 500 hours on the water. I also participated in the Lima 2019 Pan American Games as a mark layer.
