IJ - International Jury (Perú)
I started sailing at the age of 10 in Sunfish. Then, I crewed in Lightning for a decade and spent over twenty years sailing in J24. In recent years, I have been sailing oceanic yachts. Always connected to the sea, in the past decade, I served as a board member of the Peruvian Sailing Federation for a period.
My experience
Professional Training
I studied Industrial Engineering and completed a postgraduate degree in Business Administration. I have over forty years of experience in banking and industrial companies.
Sports Training
I attended my first ISAF Judges and Officials clinic in 2005 and have also participated in several Race Officer clinics.
Since then, I have always served as a National Judge, officiating in all classes competing in Peru.
I began serving on International Juries in 2014 at various events, mainly Sunfish World Championships, South American Championships for Optimist, ILCA, Sunfish, and Lightning, as well as international juries at South American and Beach Games. Additionally, I participated in juries in Argentina at the SIY and SBA.
I was part of the International Jury at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
I have attended events in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, and Ecuador.
In 2023, I qualified as an International Judge for World Sailing, and since then, I have worked in several South American and other events in Argentina, Brazil, and Peru, officiating for classes such as ILCA, Snipe, J70, ORC, and others.
